John said its gotta be silicone based lube :( but I don't have any and I'm not gonna buy a £10 kg from Sweden or wherever, just to use 10g on a Halo: so are there any alternatives?
hopefully cheap and in the UK thanks

or otherwise I will just have to stretch the detent springs a bit more and hope for the best :D

have you checked the pot on the board (metal thing on the top right of the board with the slot in it) the arrow should be sitting at the 9 o,clock position(it controls the torque of the motor ive also been led to believe - angelowners.com ) if your having problems it can help if you back it off slighly - ie towards 8 oclock

did this a while ago with a halo and it seemed to stop the problem

Hmm,

The pot on the board doesnt control the Torque, well not directly.

It adjusts the reference voltage that the board compares the eyes to, if the reference voltage is lower, then the processor interprets the eyes as being 'high' more often, so it spins the motor less.

It is there because of tolerances in the eyes, so with a particular set of eyes the pot will do nothing, with another set the pot will make a big difference.

For grease, you can get it at alot of paintball shops.
Shocker Lube or Cinamon butter is fine.

But usually the stuff you buy in the local hardware store is better, just get something that is nice and sticky (make sure its silicone based).
It costs about £5 a tube.

Ok i adjusted the pot and it appears to have helped a little as it didnt break so much paint (but whoevers idea it was to make the pot out of soft plastic: you are stupid).
never took it apart before and probably wont again for ages: what a performance. But first off during the what, day? it had been left on there, the Halo had got stuck on the feedneck, and when i tried to unscrew it the feedneck just came off the marker: i ended up hairdrying the feedneck, to get it off the halo, and using molegrips with rubber on them and some paint flaked off :(.

...anyway rant over ;)
if I also put in the 4 battery cradle would that slow it down too much? i dont get what the difference is, does it decrease the power thats going into the Halo or just use the batteries quicker as there are less
