For those that appreciate the golden years of HipHop, I'm sad to say that GURU (of Gangstarr and Jazzmatazz fame) passed away yesterday, due to complications suffered after a heart attack. He was only 43 years old.

Rest in peace old friend.

I believe it was cancer well that is what many of the newspapers say. I didn’t listen to any of his songs but its always sad to hear a man die young and especially with enough tatlent to be a world wide known hip/hop artist.

Yes he was suffering from cancer, but it's the heart attack that killed him in the end. Though the attack was caused by cancer.
Pretty much the same way that people don't die from AIDS, but pneumonia for example.
