Gulf War Part 2?

Part of the US special operations forces handbook.

On encountering a snake in the area of operation expect the following from your forces.
Paratrooper-Kills snake.
Armor-Runs over snake, giggles and spends rest of day looking for more snakes.
Infantry-"Ugh me see snake! Me like snake! Ouch!! me not like snake."
Army Aviation- Has GPS grid to snake. Couldn't find snake. Back to base for crew rest and the club and some sort of drink called 'The snake'.
Ranger-Assaults the snake's home and secures it for use by friendly snakes.
SEAL-Expends all ammunition, several grenades and calls for navel gunfire in a failed attempt to kill the snake. The snake bites the SEAL and then retreats to safety.
Corps Artillery- Kills the snake, but in the process kills several hundred civilians. mission is considered a sucess and all participnats are awarded silver stars.[cooks, mechanics, legal clerks etc.]
Marine recon-Follows snake and gets lost.
Combat Controller-Guides the snake elsewhere.
Pararescue- Wounds the snake in the first encounter, then feverishly works to save the snakes life.
Special Forces-Makes contact with snake, builds rapport, wins its heart and mind, then trains it to kill other snakes.

This might make you laugh it certainly made me chuckle, I know its in the lines of the US national anthem thread which has been closed. But why are the youth of today having to put thier lives on the line so that the President elected by the state of Florida can finish the job his daddy failed to do 12 years ago. And then put the middle east in turmoil. Sure I'm not against war seeing as I work in the defence industry and war is good for buisness, but I am against this one, destroying a country just so the American Govenment can sit a puppet in power. Wheres next on the US forces world tour Yeman? Don't they think they should try to go back and find Osama Bin Liner. Seeing as this all started as a war against terrorism. I didn't see the Americans getting all tooled up when the IRA had thier bombing campaign on mainland Britain.

Just my 2p's worth

You have a point here? Piss on you and your opinion.

I have a teammate over there and it is HIM and the troops with him that are getting my support. I happen to agree with the need to have our military there and doing the job they are doing.

Oh, and Osama, we're moving in on him, too :)

I agree with the war and bush, and even if you brits dont, you should stand by the U.S. Weve always stood by when you guys got into some deep crap.

Im not really gonna get into it cause the last thread got closed, but how come theres such an Anti-US movement going on. I cant see how the world objects to removing Saddam

Hey whoa, we are concerned w/ Korea, but we aren't trying to get into it w/them right now, they're the ones trying spark something with the US. Intercepting one of our planes, and openly testing a missile capable of reaching our west coast with no effort. That is after removing themselves from every economic pact they've ever had with us, and openly stating that they will not tolerate US aggression. This isn't a case of a major superpower beating up on a smaller power, they want this fight just as much as Bush does. In Iraq, its no question Saddam hates the US, and as an extension also western culture, and has at least some major terror weapons he doesn't want the world to see, it would be so easy for him to "misplace" some nerve gas, and have it wind up in some terrorists hands.

And to all the brits, I have to apologize for the WWII stuff. Most Americans see Saving Private Ryan, the Thin Red Line, and Windtalkers, and think that the US won the war. We may have helped, much less in WWI than II, but we didn't really win. We never had our country bombed, no V2's ever hit our cities, and our country was never overun by a massive german offensive. We got involved because the allies owed us a great deal of money for weapons sales and supplies, and our government thought it would be more financialy sensible to throw in with the allies then risk them falling. A little fact most US History teachers seem to glaze over, for both world wars, american arms manufacturers sold weapons and ammunition to both sides. Thats right, we sold weapons to germany in both wars, we didn't bail anybody out of anything.

We have to stop this bickering about who bailed who out of what, it happened 50 years ago, the US helped England, England helped the US, we won; thats it, leave it alone.

Does anyone ever wonder if the Iraqi's play paintball? maybe we should just settle all major international conflicts with Paintball from now on, make wars a whole lot more humane.
