guage removal

right i hav'nt got a strap wrench or a guage remover, so how would i be able to get the guage off?
and once its off, should i use blue or red thread lock??

does the gauge have spanner flats?

i thought of using a spanner too, but since the flat ish bits are not very flat i thought the spanner might slip, but ill try it now.
