Just for GT5? no. But if you were looking at a blu-ray player aswell and intend to get more than GT5 then id say so. But like any console. Value for money depends on the time spent playing it.

i got GT5 the other day and to me its just a flashed up version of GT1, just a different menu layout, dont get me wrong its brilliant gameplay and worth it, so i would say yes buy a PS3 to play it, aswell with the PS3 you get better graphics on gaming
