Alright. I finally got my shocktech bushmaster in and it looks sweet. I set it up with an AKA sidewinder reg and have a freak barrel on it. I am feeding it with an egg. I finally got to air it up and put paint through it this afternoon and it performed great with only one slight hiccup, it ate gas like crazy. I used almost 2200 of my 68 ci 3000 psi tank in just two hoppers. I know that isn't right, so where do I start adjusting? There are no leaks anywhere and the gun is performing well, just using a lot of gas. I read and re-read the manual but there is nothing for this topic. Any help?

Ok, here's what you should do. First back your LPR out until it the bolt no longer cycles. Then set your HPR to roughly 220 psi. Once you have done that, turn your LPR back in until the bolt cycles fully, then give it another 1/4-1/2 turn. Now leave your LPR and adjust your velocity only with the HPR. You may need to redo this process every once in a while to make sure that everything stays at its peak performance.

This basically tunes the regulators and optimizes them to work together for maximum efficiency. I would imagine that the problem is somewhere in the tuning of the LPR. Once you get it all set up I think it will be a bit better.
