Hello everybody,

My team is looking forward for Paris this summer.

Since early planning makes things less complicated and because Paris,Disneyland is not a totally new venue to paintball players. I'd like some contributions based on last years expirience, on hotels, transportation, prices, do's and dont's.

It's a bit early, I know, but tourist season starts at that time and we want to avoid it.

Thanx

Eurostar run a daily direct train to EuroDisney, cost £95 return last year, call group booking if your team are travelling together. Eurodisney all within walking distance. Only problem was getting back as there was no direct train so you have to change trains and first train had very little luggage space.
Only other problem was getting bags with markers on the Eurostar, unlike a plane you carry your luggage with you so we had to get permission from Eurostars head of security to OK it. (have his details so can let you have them if needed.)
Good trip, sh*t fields but apparently it's a better set-up this year.;)

Take out a good loan if you intend to eat and/or drink!

Disney is not the cheapest of places, some discounts last year did help but was still the most expensive of all the millenniums for us.

Very good for those coming from SE England, but not really applicable when your travelling from Greece.

Anyway, driving is pretty easy and painless and if you get Le Tunnel, quicker than Eurostar. Means you can bring back more from le hypermarche.

Don't expect a cheap beer in Disney, and if your balling on a budget, McDonalds (right next to the fields / Dome combination) is going to be your 3 day diet. If you've seen Super Size Me, this won't be a mouth watering option.

Obviously there is some Nightlife in Disney Village, however the baller "subsidized" prices are exactly the same as everyone else pays.

Staying outside Disney maybe an option but your going to need to train in or get a hire car.

Steve Morris did mention somewhere on these boards that just one train stop away was a nice set of restuarants and bars, that are not at Disney prices. any more info steve?

Cheaper options

The Holiday Inn @ Bussey-St-George was a lot cheaper than any of the Millenium rate Eurodisney hotels and only 10 minutes by car. (We hired two Espaces and was still cheaper than EuroDisney) Couple of nice restaurants in the high street at usual rather than EuroDisney prices.:)

Also if you are going to drive and take the ferry, one word of caution from our experiences this last weekend. We were going to a Tigers Pro-School in Amsterdam, leaving at 7pm. Got on ferry at 10pm, got to Calais 90 minutes later, didn't dock untill 3.30am, all thanks to French dock workers going on strike, IMO take the Eurotunnel might be more expensive but going round the harbour at Calais for 3 and a half hours is no fun:(

yep Euro tunnel everytime! if you get there early you generally get an earlier crossing (free) and it only takes 35mins!!

heard a rumour at the weekend that we will be playing on the same piece of land as last year is this true?
