Well if your moving to Birmingham your pretty much smack dam in the middle of the Midlands so most things are no more than 2 hours going north and south.

in the midlands for shops you've got

Phoenix - Cannock
Warped Sports - Wolverhampton
WDP - Birmingham

And not to far there's Planet Eclipse - Manchester

Most of these run sites closeby aswell which cater for punters and walkons.

On the tournament side of things you've got

Midland Masters
Series 2003

Which are mainly based around the midlands

As for the meca for british ball - I couldn't tell you?
