I've had a number of recommendations but not had a chance to try anything other that standard site goggles so far. What would you guys suggest. Preferably at a relatively moderate price point too? I hear alot about i4 and JT proflex?

I would recommend using the search bar to search for info as there are already hundreds about this exact same subject. Same for hoppers, markers, bottles and everything else advice related, just saves starting a whole new thread on something that as previously stated has been posted 100s of times.

i've got i4's and proto el switches both with thermal lenses .the proto switches are reasonably cheap but comfortable which leaves more money to buy a better marker .hope this helps

I highly recommend i4s man they cannot be beaten; so comfy and lightweight! However if you are on a budget the proto switch is also a good buy had a pair as my starters lasted me a long time!

bmw or mercedes, it comes down to personal preference, at the end of the day you want something that wont fog up, so youll want something with a thermal lens, apart from that its down to comfort etc, i4s are great but if you have a fuller face like me lol then they wont cover your full face and ears, so you can end up un protected in places. my current favs are v-force grills with thermal lens, no fogging etc,

Try them on

You want comfort and visibility from goggles
Have a fat head with hard plastic goggles and you have sore ears. However if you don't have a fat head then budget / modest goggles can do people just fine.
Visibility is essential - a good lens & good circulation will minimise fogging, but different people will have varying experiences as we all breath differently.
Preferably only rinse the lens to preserve anti fog features, but if you particularly experience fogging use cat crap etc

If you can see, your goggles are comfy and you can wear them all day it does not matter if they cost £30 or £100

I have Sly Profit. It fits very well. Thanks to double strap it stays in place at all times. Lens takes out very quickly so it is easy to maintain. The only problem which I had is when I got shot in lens. It ringed my ears pretty good. Whizzed for like 5 minutes after that. But besides that it is great.

I've tried a lot of masks: Dye, Proto, JT, VF etc. Best mask that I owned was JT Proflex - light, good view, non-foggy. And now it's cheap
