Goggle Lenses

Ok so how many lenses of different colours are there on the market for a particular goggle system e.g. the JT Spectra series?! It seems like hundreds!!! What I would like to know is how many of these coloured lenses actually have function in mind over aesthetics.

Obviously smoke, clear, yellow and the (mirrored lenses- same purpose as smoke but looks better) have a purpose, but what exactly is the point of;

Blue
Purple
Orange
Pink
Colour to clear fade
etc....

do they actually do something to help visual performance??????

yellow or orange/amber for low light
also a blue tint helps colour definition im told.....sometimes see shooters wearing a light blue tint, im not sure if it helps with all colours or if it is mainly the green shades ie woodland.

personally ive got a clear to blue fade lens in at the mo, picked it up when it was sunny at campaign, great for the sun, good in most light conditions, not so hot indoor tho....and it matches my team colours :)

clear is the best all round imho. I tend to find anything else just starts to get too dark and i can't see properly. I've tried pretty much all of them and clear seems to be the best. Put you peak bak on for sunny days ;)
