are goggle fans worth having , because i have heard that they are noisy

This is as easy as it can get for you, if you're fogging up your anti-fog lenses, then you need a fan. Most people who buy fans wear glasses, so really, they're keeping their specs from fogging instead of their lenses. So, if you do need one, just listen to one hum at your local shop and see if it'll drive you insane or not. It's pretty fun though to watch everyone at the field look around trying to figure out, "what that blasted noise is."

IMHO I agree with Manning, get one if you need one, If your not fogging up you lenses dont bother.........chances are you`ll never have any benefit from it

Most of 'em arn't that noisy anyway but they are of use if you have a problem with fogging. personnaly I make my own (damn site cheaper) as the JT one costs around £30

They are brilliant but expensive. If you are fogging up then get one.
