Aight. Im brand spanking new to this sport! My friend got me intrested in it. We talk about it at baseball practice. I dont know what kind of gun to get. He told me not to get any of those cheap plastic ones, so i took that advice all ready. I want something that i can customize as i get better. I went with a friend and shot there rifle for the first time ever shooting a gun and i hit the bulls eye 3 times in a row. so im a pretty good shot. So give me so ideas. I appricate it alot.

Thanks
Sean

Have you played paintball much? If not maybe go to a few local fields and rent the gear to start with. After you played a few times and are sure you really like it, then consider purchasing your own gear so you can take part in walk-on events and fields that allow you to bring along your own marker for rec-ball days.

Hi m8

When i started 2 years ago i bought a spider 1 and tricked it up in the end it cost me about 400 pounds and it was still a blow back budget marker.(WASTE OF MONEY)
Now my advice would be 2 buy second hand on here i did and got a shocker 4x4 sport with 3 barrels, hopper, 2 bottles, spares the full kit all for 3oo pound.

Dont get me wrong the spider ok to start with like the tippman and other guns you said but in the long run it aint worth it .

Hope this helps

i don't agree at all. being new but also knowing a lot of guys who have played off and on for a while, it seems that a lot of people come into the sport and play for a while then stop. some come back for a while then stop again.
for a new player without thoughts of tourney greatness, who just wants to have fun, i think buying a cocker, shocker, or any electro-pnuematic is a total overkill.
kingmans, tippmans, etc. are great reliable entry guns. you get a decent gun for a decent price. low enough that if you quit in a year you don't feel like a fool for spending so much. they are easy to maintain and cheap to upgrade.
i say go play at a field with rental equipment a few times. if you're still hooked then look into an entry level gun like a spyder or tippman. try to find some place that will sell a package deal with a good mask, bottle, hopper, maybe a parts kit and squeegee.

plus with a spyder, no matter where you live, there is probably somebody around with one you can try or ask advice about.
