GI Sportz 68/4500 Regulator

Hi All,

Just picked up a Clone 5 and am aware these markers need a lower pressure to operate.

I have a GI 68/4500 (http://gisportz.com/tanks/tank-68-4500-se.php)

My question is; is this tank adjustable without any extras and if so, does anyone have a guide on completing the modification? Or can describe the inside before I open it up? (Shim? Spring?)

Any advice welcome.

Ed... I believe the GI Reg (rebadged Air Assault) uses a spring. So you would have to swap the spring to adjust the pressure

I'd recommend picking up a Ninja reg which is adjustable by removing all shims. I removed all of mine for the Clone / Drones. That drops the tank output pressure to the right output. If you need to test the reg output, I can show you how

Can you confirm its removing all the shims that drops the pressure? And testing the reg output would be ideal before I do damage to my new marker....

The answer to that question is = Yes !!
The Ninja V2 Reg has shims inside, once opened , Don`t get confussed as there are x 2 lots, one in lower and one in Higher, one of the bunch will be all seperate , these are the ones you take out, The Reg comes as a High Psi , but as you take a Shim away it gets lower and Lower until all of them are out , this leaves the Reg output at 450, ( low ) which I`ve found to be Perfect for Every Type of gun for Tourneys, Magfed and the like usually require More Pressure, but that is another level to talk about.

Yes... Ninja Regs are the best and V2 is the current model

Simply release the set screws on the bonnet, unscrew and the regulator shims are in the lower half of the reg. Lift them all out and the reg should output around 450psi. Which is what the MacDev markers are good with, also fine to use this config with the PE markers, The reg on PE markers doesn't need to be HP (800psi). No need to use a gauge as that is exactly how all my Ninja regs have been set up
