Appears to be another round of layoffs at GI (unknown total staff number), however, Brad McCurley was let go. He had a massive "fire(d)" sale with a not too nice hashtag #F...GI basically. Which he then pulled down, but still selling his stuff.

Rumors abound that it's due to Empire losing staff, and potentially the overall future of the Empire brand?

Hell maybe Gino buys it back, and just uses it for Airsoft hah.

I knew Missy would have those inside tracks.

I can't find the number of employees for GI, Tippmann is listed as having 120.

Say Gi is 500 ish. That's nearly 10%. Not actually a terrible number. It all depends on the total number of people vs the number laid off.

Now that the new CEO is looking to cut costs, dropping out of NXLE saved them 100,000 just for the sponsorship cost to the league., or at least bring things back into a profitable space, it could get a lot worse before it gets better for GI.

In many ways, yes, although they are currently in receivership due to law suits relating to the families of the children shot in the Sandy Hook school shooting a few years ago...

....because Remington were obviously to blame for that.....

It’s pretty sad as if anything paintball doesn’t seem to have grown half as quickly as it should have in the past decade. People seem more interested in playing soldiers on a console than actually getting out and having fun
