Getting USA air tanks certed for the UK

Hi

Ive just moved here from New Zealand and have got a couple of tanks that i brought from the US and have heard that i cant use them here in the UK as they are not Pi tested. Can i get them re tested here and does anyone know who does it?

The tanks are a pure energy 4.5k 1.1l and a 4.5k 1.1l smartparts with a smartparts mini reg

No. DOT bottles cannot be Pi tested i'm afraid.

Dot certified tanks cannot be used or filled in Europe.
Only tanks that have the PI mark can be used here in Europe.
Dot certified tanks can be tested to the Dot certified spec, but CANNOT be tested or changed to PI standard.

In which case, the DOT bottles you have are useless over here.

you might wanna check the bottle over for hse fw2 markings i think it is? as these can be used here as well!
