A good way to start may be to go watch a few tournaments and/or training events at your closest tournament paintball field, not sure of which is closest to you. Feel free to ask any paintballer there any questions that you have, I think I speak for most of us on here in saying that we love to help people get into paintball. Maybe find the closest paintball shop to you and go there with any questions you have, including close events, gear that you'll need and anything else you'll need to know. Or of course ask on here no matter how silly it might sound, we all started out knowing as much as you :)

CPPS is about an hours drive from you according to Google, it's based just outside Rugeley, Staffordshire. Definitely worth getting down there and joining in with practices. There are plenty of teams that train there that are always on the lookout for new players. They cater for teams that are just starting out in tournaments up to the best the UK has to offer.

Absolutely! In fact if the weather is as bad as is forecast at the moment it will be more fun watching than playing.

CPPS on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/CPPSpaintball

Finding CPPS - ST19 5PH. Rodbaston College, Penkridge. Take the Equestrian/visitors centre entrance, NOT the Main entrance. You'll pass immediately under a red/white barrier. All you need to do then is take your first right (just before the 2nd red/white barrier) down the track to the bottom and through the green gates. Our car parking minions will then direct you to your personal docking station. Please follow their instructions, as the minions may attack you with bananas if you don't. We have a lot of cars to park so please follow their lead.

Nope, completely free to spectate, and spectators do not need masks to spectate on any of the fields. Most of the big retailers will be there with stands as well so plenty of fresh new gear to browse over too. If you're considering playing tournaments it will definitely be worth the trip, if you like the look of it you'll be itching to play before you leave to go home.

Games start at 9 and will finish around 3:30 - 4ish I would think. Lunch breaks are spread around all the fields so there is literally non-stop paintball to watch all day long!
