I got a geo2 from a buddy and it is leaking air from the solenoid. I replaced the solenoid with another solenoid (from my own geo2.1) and the leak stopped, so I know for sure it is coming from the solenoid.

The spoolpack I managed to get out of the broken solenoid, and it looked fine. I gave it a wipe and greased it up > still leaks.

I cant get the pilot valve out of the solenoid and I have not yet found any tech video/manual that shows/tells me how to do this.

Sounds like the pilot valve on the solenoid. Unless you are very good at teching, i suggest you send it in to planet. Or you could wait till the next CPPS event (advise would be to give them a call beforehand)

Do I need a small wrench to unscrew the pilot valve? As the shape of the metal part is kind of making me think I need one..

Just realised StewartW posted up above. He will most likely be at the Eclipse tech tent. Either have words with him or call planet.

Yeah, you might have to use something to get a little purchase on it. Just Unscrews.
Don't over tighten anything on the way back in.

Pretty sure there is a section on pilot valve removal/replacing in the geo 2 manual?
