The first tournament as part of the Genesis concept is on Sunday 19 March at Powerplay Wakefield. It is a 5 man woodland event open to both teams and individuals, if you don't have a team several teams will be formed on the day from individual players

If you want more information please visit www.genesispaintball.co.uk and to book in visit http://www.talkpaintball.com/showthread.php?t=8793

Genesis are proud to announce that Ray Cain (Dragon's Lair) and Niall Squires (Campaign) have joined the Genesis organisers and will be organising events along the Genesis Concept format in their areas.

The Manchester Lions will be putting a team in all the Genisis events but I do have a few questions for Steve.

1, Are all the events going to be five man.

2, If above is no will you also have a 7,10,12,15 man

3, Can you confirm that all playing areas are not to soft as it is a problem with some of the teams walking sticks.

4, When you say woodsball am I right in thinking we can still use paintballs and it is not a new version of reball.

5, Can you confirm that we have wheelchair access for our players who can no longer use sticks.

6, If we attend what rules will you be using, the ones that everyone agreed on at the organisers meeting last year, or can I tell you I would prefer 300fps because thats what I used to use when in the woods and they might be big fields.

7, Will food be available on site.

8, Will tea be available in dripfeed bags.

9, How much will it cost, because with the increase in gas and electric is a strain on my pension as it is and since you have a Villa abroad (and very nice it is) a home in the UK and two cars dont you think you have had enough.

No waivering here!!

I have a tea van so no problems with the infrastructure and somewhere for you to stand. I have arranged for the bacon butties to be pureed (Hope this is how it is spelt) to aid with digestion.

The car park has been doubled in size to allow your limo to arrive.

Pension credit will be accepted as part payment for game fees.

Yes 5 man but we might have a big 10 man somewhere in the year or should I start a 7 man and a 3 man league as well.

If is carries on snowing your walking sticks will stick in the mud, I can't ensure flat level green fields like Ancaster due to trees being in the way in all the playing areas. We will use the playing areas close to the safe area to reduce walking distances.

I can never have enough cash and assets and I am still a couple of quid behind you !! :D

On a serious point the chrono limit is 280fps as agreed at the event organisers meeting - why would anyone want to change it as we all agreed - just buy an allen key and dial your marker down. The fields are BIG so with the reduced chrono limit it will make for more movement and FUN games.

I was asked if smoke grenades would be allowed - the jury is open on this one and I will yield to player power - plus the cash register as I have lots to sell !!

Lots of players booking in so it should be a good event.

Incidentally I saw Russell in "Cash converters" a couple of days ago buying an automag, he managed to get the bloke down from £100 to £25 saying it was no use as someone had nicked the battery compartment and the trigger would not work without a battery.

Stuart Paint for looking after the junior team.
and finally thank you to all the PLAYERS who played in the true spirit of GENESIS

Andy will be posting some photo's later on www.genesispaintball.co.uk and I will post the scores.

PS - In all the years I have been running events it was the cleanest safe area when the teams had all left - Thank you for keeping your bays tidy.

Smile of the day - A comment made about the junior team "they are wearing camo' so we can't see them!!" not sure who made it as it was second hand when I was told. Hopefully by the next event we will have sorted them some playing kit and markers other than our site infernos.
