There was a time when an argument could be made that the Matrix is going to be gentler on paint, and more accurate due to it's being low pressure, but since the Speed operates at comparable pressures, I don't think that logic can be applied anymore. Weigh both options, Speed will be faster, maybe a little lighter, and if you get an A4 bolt and a good barrel, you should have a pretty hard time breaking paint. Then again, some people have HALO problems with them (which the A4 bolt should pretty much clear up), and you may wind up having to lose some of the speed and feed it with an Evo. On the other hand, the Matrix will be HALO compatible no matter what, but then again, it's a little bulkier (me thinks), and you may not be able to get it shooting fast enough to utilize the full potential of the HALO anyway. You also have to consider price, the Speed is about $170 more than the price of the LCD Matrix, so if your budget is an important factor, keep that in mind. All in all, they're both very good markers. Your best course of action would be to go down to the local field or shop, and see if you can shoot (or at least see and hold) one of each, then make your decision based on which one works better for you.
