Huh?

I assume you are talking about Nitrogen/Compressed Air verses CO2. So if I'm wrong the rest of my reply is pointless.

Here you go.

CO2 when it is in the bottle/tank is in a liquid form. As you use up CO2 the liquid expands to form a gas. Under rapid fire this transition isn't consistent. In that the CO2 hasn't had enough time to fully turn into a gas yet. Causing velocity fluctuations which can throw off your shots.

Nitrogen/HPA is always a gas (for purposes of paintball). There is no transition from liquid to gas. Therefore it is more consistent which lends to greater accuracy.

Well that's the short of it.

Air isnt affected by the weather, whereas CO2 is affected by air temperature. As its going from liquid to gas, it performs better in warmer weather as opposed to Air or N2 which is a gas already, and therefore is not affected.

But it's harder to fill up properly in warm weather as the liquid CO2 in the storage tank will only flow to a cold source, therefore if it's very hot out side it makes it more difficult to fill your tank in the first place.

That's right jeevusmaximus :D

If your having a hard time in the warm weather then try to freexe your bottle first or if your at a field with no freezer (surely not!!:D ) then fill your bottle with a little CO2, then empty it out completely (your CO2 tank), and you should feel the bottle go very cold. Now, fill the bottle as much as possible and you'll be able to squeeze in a lot more liquid. :D

go with a commpresd air system

u dont need 2 fill ur tank up with nitorgen un less u hav a cocker or angel or any gun imbetween
also compressed air fills r cheaper

'Tis correct, we have never aquainted!

Therefore Stuart, bottom line is: If you've got a descent marker and you play any tourney ball where it's a lot more important to have you ball velocity as high as possible without having to worry about firing hot - then go for compressed air or nitro as it's very reliable and constant.

If your more a rec baller with a more modest gun then you should be fine sticking with CO2 (which is actually liquid, not a gas - I assume your talking about CO2). An air system would, of course be a good upgrade no matter what, but not so important if your purely play recball.

Hope that helps :)
