Are you running it on high/low preset?
What dwell time have you got it set on?
How many shots do you get from a full fill and what size tank is it?

Make sure the bolt is well lubed

when u say guzzles gas - we talking 7 pots and a hopper or less?

The DM4 is a spool valve gun which arn't known for their efficiency, the DMs are better than the older matrix but the way they cycle hogs gas - the evolve bolt for the DM4 isn't really worth it (ask spank - afterall they all got rid of theirs)

There is a taping mod on PBNation which supposed to imporve efficiency aswell as changing the O rings on the bolt to smaller white ones

Unfortunately its the one price you pay for shooting such a mint gun - ive owned 2 and loved em

1. Take the bolt out and clean thoroughly. Relube and make sure that the front wall and top hat move freely on the bolt. If they feel tight then replace the 2 no. 17 o-rings (clear urethane ones on the inside of the front wall and tophat).

If the bolt is not moving freely then it will require more pressure to get it to cycle hence more gas which people generally compensate for by adjusting their regs.

ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR O-RINGS ARE IN GOOD NICK AND ARE SUFFICIENTLY LUBED

2. Once the bolt is sorted reset your hyper2 and LPR back to factory settings.
Hyper2 - wind all the way in and then wind out 3 1/2 full turns.
LPR - wind all the way in and wind out 5 complete turns. (1 complete turn = 360 degrees)

Make sure you do this with the gun de-gassed or you could damage the reg seats.

Do the above and see what you get from it.

Doesn't matter whether you are using a low pressure or high pressure preset so dont worry about that.

Would be helpfull to know what size tank you are using and how many shots you are getting out of a good fill in order to determine whether you have a major problem or not.

Any more probs e-mail DYE Europe.

Hope this helps :)
