Anyone got any tips on tweaks/adjustments I can make to my Dynasty...gave it its first trial the other day and after cranking the velocity up a bit (to around 300) it was munching gas faster than a Ferrari down an autobahn.

Running a 1.1L 4500psi tank and it was ready for refill after 2 hoppers worth!

The front grip was getting colder and colder the more shots that were popping off so maybe I have the velocity set too high- but 300's about right? Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Shady.

I haven't changed the dwell setting (know where to make the adjustment, just not sure what it should be set to, or how I can tell what it's set at)

I chrono'd it at 300, but was wavering up to about 313 sometimes, maybe that's causing it?

The input (not sure what its referred to as) - front guage reads at 500psi when i turn the ASA switch on if that's any help!?!

Ps, Ryan - its def not leaking. I bought it 2nd hand off my mate Steve James from Backlash and I think its a standard bolt. Darren from London Tigers helped me switch the nipple on the tank as it was leaking but that's definitely not leaking anymore....

When u say front guage - u mean the guage on the gun?

your gun shouldn't be running any higher than about 200psi - that could be it! your also asking for a trip to SP running at that pressue - you'll blow the noid

If your having to run that pressure to get 300fps outta it id say your bolt needs attention

do you use MSN - add me (email in sig) and ill talk you through sorting the bolt out

I think he will be refering to the front gauge on the inline maxflo? If you are refering to the maxflo, it is at around the right pressure.

Check out ZDS Paintball , it has all the info you will need, including a calculator to work out your dwell and rof.

Yes mate, that's the one I'm referring to (i think!) the air tank goes into a regulator, which has two guages on it. The back guage reads the psi in the air bottle, and the second one is reading what's going into the gun (i think?) it was set at 400psi when I got it from Steve, but after speaking to Scars I've tweaked it down to 190psi. Am now well confused after deadbox's post saying 400's about the right pressure!

the original pressure of around 500pis from the maxflow (the bit ur bottle is screwed on is spot on) because once the air gets through the regulator (the bit u hold on to) it wil be down to about 180-200psi depending on how its set up!
