The card is not named to me or specific to one person and can be used in any gamestation store. So to pay for my motorbike helmet that i will soon be needing im going to sell it for

£55

So im selling £60 for £55

Ill post pics of the card and the reciept showing it has £60 on it as soon as i can

cash refund

if youve not had the product for more than 2 weeks they have to give you the money back, thats your statatory rights!

company policy doesnt wash it, but at end of the day it all depends on whether you can be bothered to argue the toss with them?!

good luck with an arguement or exchanging the credit on here

Gamestation arent alone in doing this; Computer Exchange operate a similar policy. Any impulse buys are refunded to store credit.

Only if the item is defective (and no replacement at hand) then cash is reimbursed to the customer.

Slightly off topic but surely they wont give you your money back if you've opened it as they would have lost money as they can no longer sell it as new?!

your rights

had a quick look about buyers rights ect its all on the net took 2 minutes to research

if you buy something on the internet, IE you buy an item and your not physically there, this is called distance selling and your allowed a cooling off period of 7 days where you may change your mind and return the product( unless customised ), that explains why all these ex catalogue shops are about.

2nd hand goods unless faulty forget it :)

an impulse buy in a shop will not get a refund even if unopened, unless good will from the store which surprised me looks like i got that confused with the cooling off period for distance selling:confused:

so it looks like if you want to buy and possibly change your mind, buy online youve got a cooling off period of 7 days worth knowing ( if new and from a recognised retailer)

and 1 other obscure point according to the law you dont need the reciept when returning the item and this is not a valid reason to be denied a refund but you need some form of proof ie packaging ,witness, the reciept just helps in proof of sale
