Not sure..
It rained this morning, last I checked in was in the second half of the first game and then it was just to take care of some administrative stuff. I'm not actually getting into town until late tonight due to obligations at the job that pays the bills.
Looking at the scores though, esp. the PSU/GWU game, it looks like they're putting on a good show. 30 minute game time, and GWU/PSU managed to rack up 19 points between them - that's a hang every 1:35 or so. Fast. Neither of the first two games went the way I would have expected. ISU is the #3 ranked team from last year and has 2 good 5-man squads, Penn State put 3 teams in finals at the North-East event a couple weeks ago. Then again, neither GWU nor LSU had been to more than one college tournament prior to X-Ball, so didn't have a whole lot to go on with them coming into the event.
But upsets are what makes sports interesting, right?
I'm waiting for the Purdue/UofI/Drexel games this afternoon. From what I've heard, Drexel is the best practiced team as far as X-Ball goes, although neither Purdue nor UofI have been slouching, and Purdue and UofI are the strongest programs out there. They're only an hour and change apart, so I think the years of trying to kick each other's asses have forced them to get good.
