i recently changed the lens on my proto switch FS, and when i reassembled it the hard goggle wouldn't fit back onto the mask properly, it sticks up slightly at the edge. i tried diassembling it and reassembling it several times, but it still won't fit properly. it also started to make a creaking sound when i moved it. is there a problem with it? im not sure if it is still safe to use. would it be worth changing it for an Axis?

the frame around the lens, the manual calls it the hard goggle.

ow right i see, umm usualy those sorts of goggles are a pain to change lense etc, same with i3's, if i think its what you on about try pushing it around abit and it may slot into place, but i am not 100% sure what you mean.

got any pictures?

Martin.

If you mean the frame that sits over the lens on the goggle, then make sure you have the little hook on the frame, that is roughly where the bridge of your nose is, situauted properly, once you have that right, the whole thing goes back nicely.

It also helps if you have the frame and the lens together when doing this, rather than having the lens in place and trying to put the frame back over the whole lot.

Let me know if you require any more assistance

I've got the axis goggles and to begin with found it a bit tricky to get the lens/frame back in. once you get the hang of it it's pretty simple. As we're both in MK I'd be happy to take a look at it for you if you like?
