From NPPL: Registration Closing Today

Although there are still two months before the event, Huntington Beach registration for Division III is closed with a waiting list forming. We are accepting Division II, Division I and Semi Pro registrations only. Today is the last day to register. To register your Semi Pro, Division I or Division II team you must call the NPPL Office at (714) 536 - 9050 immediatly.

Since Thursday, we have encountered technical difficulties and therefore have closed online registration. To check if your team is registered check the Team Listing on www.NPPL.tv - If you do not see your team name, call the NPPL immediately at 714 536 9050.

Teams wanting to register or be added to the waiting list must call the NPPL office as email is not reliable at this time.

I appreciate your serious attention to this matter and look forward to hearing from you soon!

List isn't complete yet

That's probably just the confirmed (fully paid) teams. The team list should max out at 175 teams. That's what I was told the cutoff will be this year.

So if there are only 86 paid teams wouldn't you think there is still room for teams and registration wouldn't be closed?!? Because if I can call up and say "hey, i want a spot" do I really have a spot until she see my money in her hand?!?!

Maybe the list cannot be updated online because of the 'technical difficulties' they are having... who knows. Hopefully they move to a system similar or simply to the APPA system and skip the hassles they're having now. Other than the sake of being independent and be self sustaining like they seem to want to be viewed, I cannot think of a single reason not to use the APPA system. Maybe they just don't like Chris Raehl but I can't really blame them for that :D

Pretty soon they won't even need to offer a rookie division. Well unless 150 of that 280 were rookie teams which seems very possible when you look at the number of rookie teams on the team list compared to the total number of non rookie teams.

The NPPL has team captains camping outside thier doors, I'm serious! They are trying to pay Pro Entry for a spot in Div 3 (this has been rejected as all spots are taken) and are getting there before the office opens, like in the january sales or something. One guy drove 6 hours, only to be disappointed.

If anyone has an entry and they want to double thier money, nows the time....

So, ITN, are you saying the new maximum team limit is actually 200, not 175?
Any word on how many fields this will require? New changes in game length or session length?
