Does anyone know of the French customs having any strange laws banning markers into or out of the country?. We are driving over so dont fancy my marker being confiscated.

I've been going to France by plane and car recently and haven't ever been stopped.

I think the legislation around paintball guns is quite close to the hunting laws. Basically you can have one paintball gun per person in the car or something like that...... I have a mate who was stopped and he had two markers in his car and was alone and they gave him **** for that but let him off anyway. I think legislation is quite vague in France and definitely not as strict as Germany. But basically its a question of luck. Usually you shouldn't have any problems. I personally have never been stopped...

so if you want to take a spare marker, take it apart (not completely, just big bits) and say that it's spares for your other marker!

I just drove back from MAX Masters on my own with 7 guns in the car all laid out nicely in the boot so there was no mistaking the fact they were markers.

I got stopped by customs on the way back on both sides of the channel. On the French side they didn't even give the stuff a second look.

On the UK side I got a bit of questioning about where I had been and had to prove it but I had the Team playing schedule, hotel bill etc to hand which seemed ok and once I explained te potential problem with flying markers these days they were happy to wave me on my way....didnt even comment on the ridiculous amount of beer I had stacked up on all the seats..God Bless duty free beer:D
