Freak. Good, Or Bad?

okay peeps, i'm looking to buy a freak barrel (14 inch with black aluminium back and Blue freak front), but it is really worth the £50 or so to get it? also, just how much better is a stainless insert over an aluminium one? i've heard it makes the freak more accurate, but is this just a load of poppycock? Freaks are really great provided you look after them properly e.g. always put the insert in from the back, use a tiny spot of grease, keep an eye on the O rings.
The biggest advantage I can see to the stainless insert is that the aluminium ones were comparatively soft so they could be easily damaged by dropping them & so on; the stainless ones are much more durable.

Great barrels! I can't remember the last break I had, and I've been playing without eyes for the last few months because i've stripped a screw and cant get the frame off
Ion + Freak is an awesome combination
