ok whilst rummaging in my box i found an old revi motor a Y board and some egg shells (not the eatey kind).
Banged it all together and franken egg was born, this is the list of parts fitted and when run alongside a z boarded egg it had approx 6-7 balls left at the point the z- boarded one emptied.
*left and right egg shells
*revi motor with battery cable cut off so has same jack as an egg motor left on it which fits the y board
* A y board
* A very old school revi paddle with the arms bent up (has to be this as it's slightly more flexible
* egg lid
From approx 1000 balls run through it i've had no jams at all, it's fed well and for the cost of a few shells etc you can build yo self a decent backup hopper.
Only thing i'll add is the inner tray which i didn't have when testing (which will speed up the feed rate)
Photos maybe comin soon
