Not to say Airsoft should be banned I can see where they are coming from in relation to replica looking guns. Though safety implications for both paintball and airsoft are taken very seriously and are controlled in areas of play replicas are alot easier to come by than paintball markers.
If they are to ban airsoft guns its purely down to the fact kidz are seen walking around with replicas that to someone who doesnt know would seem real. Paintball markers are slightly different, but saying that without clarification they could be dubbed the same. Though compared to replicas I have not seen a single person walking the streets with a paintball marker, or even over fields messing about with them in my life time. So doubt, or 'hope' paintball will not follow suite. Otherwise uk p8ball just got shafted!!! :(
