Another thing ive noticed when browsing is the forums arn't updating unless you force a hard refresh.

First report we've had of either of those problems, security token sounds like it's something to do with session IDs or browser cookies, and the forums updating are definitely to do with cookies. Have you changed your clock recently?

If anyone else experiences the same problem, please let us know.

No issues,

But if you are on a page and click back you will need to manualy refresh (thats browser cache).

I dont know how the site is set up, (as in where sessions are stored) but if its localy (user side, using cookies rather than URL) cookies will need to be enabled. If they are, clear them and try again, cookie could be screwed.

I'm assuming that it's at least partially client side, could you imagine how big a server database would be needed to store all the data logging our some 19,200 'users last logged on' time?

Some people choose to store session data in its own table, more secure... but yes, it gets large and slows load times as well.
By more secure before people jump up and down, means if someone can get onto your PC (also cant have auto-login).

EDIT: Sorry for the off topic posts
