Forum search problem

Right, this has been bothering me about the search system on these forums and i was wondering if it is possible if it can/could be fixed.

The search fuction does not like any term that is three letters long, so therefore searching for anything like Dye, DM4, XSV, DVD, IR3, LPR or whatever is impossible. There are a lot of abreviations in paintball and trying to look for answers to queries i have on stuff like these is just not possible. Could this be changed or is it a feature of VB that is totally set in stone?

If you'd searched, you'd have found I've already brought this up (only kidding).

I second this, there are too many 3 letter abbreviations that aren't searchable. There also seem to be other vB forums that allow it, so it seems a shame that we miss out

All kidding aside, this is an easy one. Just add an extra letter or number to those pesky three-letter search items. Viola!

not exactly an ideal solution.... Just for easy of use and common sense, if vB has the cabability then why not have it fixed? Surely it isn't rocket science?
