My brother (back row, second from left) started Shades of Grey (and thought of the name) when he left Nam Wreckin' Crew.

I think some of the Nam went with John (my brother) and they very quickly, established themselves as one of the top teams in Uk and Europe.
I think they got 3rd place at the Mayhem European Championships one year which was an amazing result for such a young team.
They were certainly one of the most popular teams around.

At that time, I think there were something like 20 pro teams around unlike the ridiculous number we have now.

Can you remember the years Robbo out of interest? I remember reading about the team in teh mags in the early nineties and before I started playing competitively went down to Mayhem Masters in 92 or 93 and remember seeing them doing well that year. I then played against them in 94 at the Masters

I was then lucky enough to be part of the creation of Shades of Grey II in late 95 so many of these guys showed us the way in training etc. Mrs Moore was always very helpful, as was Stevie T and Jimmy. Webby isnt in the photo and we had him to thank for getting the team under way.

Others missing; Botteril, Schmidt......thinks......

Happy, happy days in Trebark cammo!

Mark, do you remember Stevie T's missus??

FFS mate, everyone has a right to be ugly but she fackin abused that right, I think he kicked her into touch eventually and she's living down Brigthon way apparently ..... I know it's not exactly PC to abuse the afflicted and normally I wouldn't do it but you couldn't find a more surly person if you tried.

She was actually a miracle on legs because when you first encountered her, you couldn't help but think, no person could ever look uglier ...wronnnnnng !!!!!!!!

Her normal face would have curdled milk and had any kid scurrying for cover but when she had the hump (which was most of the frikkin time as I remember) her face changed to what can only be described as horrific cubed ...... I do hope she's cheered up.
