football studs work ok on astro turf

stupid question but i just bought a pair and the site just changed their sup air field to astro turf instead of grass which is a bit annoying

just wondered if anyone esle uses football boots on turf or are they useless?

dont think they would be happy with you using studs on astro

know on the local hocky and football pitchs your not allowed

tourneys dont allow any spikes or studs with any metal on.

I know that if you have fully plastic studs or blades or astro - turf trainers they would fine.

yeah they are you need moulded boots with either blades or the ones with a shed load of studs on the bottom.

and they grip ok on sand based astro?

I wouldnt use them on astro, especialy if its caped in sand.

probably best getting a pair of astro turfs

i know most places do them cheap so you shouldnt struggle

yeah!

astro boots will be your best bet mate- go to your local chav hangout (sports soccer or jjb sports) and youll get a half decent pair for under £20 easy.
no hassles!

As peope have already said, if u are allowed studs on astro, it wouldnt be much help as they cant go in the ground. If anything would make it really slippy.
