Truly living up to the phrase "all the gear and no idea",
i have recently purchased a marker which has no bottom line,i have bought one and want to fit it.
Its a brand spankin new Evo X cocker from Steve and Keith at Belsales. They only supply their own gear now, therefore it comes sans bottom line and donkey.

i need to go from the front grip reg to the bottom line on/off donkey mounted under the grip i have two 90 degree elbow doohikamers and a length of macroline...and no destructions...i mean INstructions:)

May i request to tap into the wealth of experience here and ask how to do it safely??

nice one.

Hi Chris, you need to fit each elbow and then connect the macroline between the two. To fit the elbows put a spot of loctite on the start of the elbows thread and screw the elbows in so they're reasonably tight. Leave overnight for the loctite to cure and the next day press one end of the macroline into one of the fittings, then check the length of the line between both fittings, remembering that the line will go into the fittings a small amount. Cut the macroline with a stanley knife squarely and fit it into the elbow.

Awesome:)
Bit dubious of loctite in threads, its a right ****er when you want to take the thing off (although i guess thats the point right? heheheheh)

Is PTFE an acceptable alternative to loctite? Common sense tells me probably not.If thats the way to do it(loctite)then i will yield to the voice of experience.I dont want anything spontaneously self disconnecting at inopportune moments.

Thanks for the advice.Your help is greatly appreciated.
Off to buy some loctite.
Cheers.

no probs at all with ptfe, but i do find that loctite gives you a better seal.

Don't buy the super strong loctite.

loctite

for that use i would use 5926 loctite blue sealant it seals the thread and secures the elbow on nicely( the number is the loctite part number)
