From what I can tell the Rebel Bottomline is similar (not wishing to offend anyone) to a Inferno.

It comes down to 1) what do you want to do with it (err)
2)And how much can you spend?

1) Do you want to play tourneys or just have your own marker to go to your local site and play rec-ball.

If you want to play tourneys It probably won't stand up to the job (but I have never used one).

If you want to be a rec-baller, then sure it is a good starter marker. (however always try before you buy.)

and 2) If you have a bit of money think second hand you can pick up a good Cocker or Impulse from the classifieds in these forums and it will be a good way to play rec ball and progress up to Tourneys.

Good Luck,

and happy splatting

Inferno

The Inferno line of markers is the best starter gun currently on the scene. You could even do a little bit of tournament action with one.

If you give Powerball a call and see what they say, Janice is very nice and be more than happy to help you. Just say I sent you mm'kay:D

I agree. Great feel, great price. The biggest turn-off for me when getting a starter marker is spending the money and getting what feels like a fragile little toy. For the same price as a Spyder/Piranha you can get an Inferno that feels like it is on another level as far as craftmanship goes.
