Considering getting an air system, but I'm on a budget and was wondering if instead of getting one of those 3k/.8 jobs, I can buy a 4500 reg seperately (only a few quid more on most sites), then use it on the .8, and just swap it over to a bigger bottle later on?

Thanks in advance.

You can use the 4500 reg on the old 3k bottle, but dont fill it more than 3000psi, as the bottle is only rated to that much.

If you want to get the full benefit of a 4500 air system you need to get a 4500psi rated bottle to go with the 4500 reg.

To be honest, I would get the 3k/0.8 bottle, and then save up to get a proper 4500reg and bottle, then sell the 3k system on.

3a and protoyz regs aren't any better than Nitroducks? In fact if you compare them to a Nitroduck of similar price (x-stream) there actually a lot inferior a product :)

If your changing from co2 to air, get yourself a 4500psi preset and at least a 68 bottle. SpeedyG4Coalition has preset regs and bottles complete for around £135 - £150, and they're .91ci which is the biggest bottle for 4500psi.
