Finally!!!!! I Get To Play!!!!!

I finally get to play my very first paintball game with a bunch of guys that i really don't know. First, Its 8:00 A.M. for a few hours of a "hostage' scenerio game and then, around 1:30, i am going to play with some guys from my workplace. The first game is going to be relatively big, but the second with my coworkers is going to be small. I WOULD LIKE SOME WORDS OF ADVICE AND SOME PEP TALKS PLEASE. The game is about a week from now and i plan on testing my gun before then of course. YOu guys Rock

Well, there's obviously a million things we can tell you, but trust me, during your first ever game, you won't remember a single one of them.
So there's two things that are actually worth mentioning. First, have fun and enjoy the experience. Second, above anything, play safe! Listen to the marshalls, and don't ever EVER take your goggles off while in the field. Only remove them in the designated safe zone, even if they are completely covered in all kinds of crap.

as Buddha said theres just soooooo much to learn that it's not worth trying to on your first game(it will come in time young Jedi!) so just dig in, load that hopper up and have FUN!!!
The safely aspect is the most important thing.play safe and the rest will fall in line and you'll have a great day.If you get hit don't be too put off. we all learn from our mistakes. and next time you go you'll be more aware of whats going on and will remember the mistakes and try something new(thats the evolotion of paintball)

any questions ask us here or on the day ask the marshalls the're normally more than happy to help out. i never done that when i went balling for the first time and came away with lots of questions and no answers! so any probs ask.

Best tip I was ever given (and I'm repeating myself from elsewhere) was to have a 'metaphorical' cigarette. Hit your bunker, tree what have you, and take take some time to look around. I'll tell you mate, if you're not careful you'll spend the whole day on an adrenaline rush oblivious to what's going on around you. You'll hit your bunker, see some geezer a milllion miles away and you'll just open up - meanwhile 45degrees to your left and there's two geezers with their arses hanging out.

so...

1) Don't get tunnel vision
2) Keep tight behind your cover, ie stay in the game
3) Never trade fire (unless it's desperate and he's showing the biggest target area)
4) Take your time and relax, especially if you're taking loads of ****
5) Take your barrel bung out before you start shooting! Doh!

Remember also that a moving target is hard to hit... you can get away with more than you'd imagine.

I did that once, I was used to having a plug and I got a barrel condom. I just totally forgot about it, One gane starts and I run domn the left tape and hit my bunker. I mean out, see a dude and pop,pop,pop,pop, I launch four into my barrel condom, it looked pretty cool though.
