That is a fill station, but it's for a DIN fitting on the bottle, your bottle might have an A-Clamp fitting instead which is where the station slips over the part coming out of the bottle and tightens up from behind, rather than screwing into the front of it like this does.

Often 232 15ltr tanks are A-clamp, with 12ltr 300bar tanks being DIN fittings - although it's a loooooong time since I owned a dive tank.

a-clamp fitting on a dive tank can often be converted to dinn by inserting a large allen key and unscrewing the fitting inside the top valve on the bottle.

if not, try getting in touch with Tom Allen, he is one of the people here who knows his stuff regarding air fittings................

yeah look for a din fitting tank, but if you happen to buy onewith the A-clamp fitting, a large allen key will get it out so you can use the din fitting fill rig, any probs pm/email Tom Allen

i dive and dive bottles are yoke fitting systems these days... as they are safer and have some other plus points. i have only been doing the sport for three years or so though, so what you can A clamps could be what im talking about; ill find out by asking at my local centre :)

200 or 300 bar...

not 100%, but am i right in assuming that if you fill a 4500psi bottle from a 230bar dive cylinder, you will only fill it to around 3000psi?

im going on the assumption that to fill a 1.1l 4500psi paintball air system, you would need a dive cylinder filled to 310bar, as all you are doing is equalizing the pressures?

so seeing as most dive shops only fill a 300bar dive cylinder to around 280-290bar, am i rigjht assuming you will never get a full 4500psi?

is there any point buying any dive cylinder thats less than a 300bar?

just wondering peoples opinions on this, as ive got a 300bar dive cylinder, and have never been able to fill any airsystem past 4000psi...

confused?
i certainly am...

basically all your assumptions are correct except your tank should get filled to about 320-330 in the shop so when the tanks settles you get a full 300 fill ...eh and thats it :) (this is in my experience anyway)

hmmm

still wondering why i cant get a full 4500psi tho...

dive cylinders less than a year old, been filled 4 times, so it should be getting a full fill, i just still cant fill any of my air sytems over 4000psi?...

even after leaving the systems ( angel a.i.r sytem & angel air bottle with max flo micro) to settle and trying to top off, its still staying at the 4000psi mark... is that because the dive cylinder isnt filled to 310bar?
