Best thing to do is to ask if the seller can change the fill nipple and make sure the air system is 100% working order before you hand over the cash.

If you do decide to take this as a non working bottle, try and fix it, then something else is wrong with it, chances are, he/she can say you damaged it in the process of trying to fix it.

ie, threads on reg where the fill nipple screws in ,could be damaged etc etc...

ps..not trying to screw anyone over in this deal or any other deal, just helping with advise for the buyer.

It was a peace of team kit and got damaged. I've no idea what to do with the damn thing, it just sits in my house and collects dust, so I figured I'd give it to a friend, save him a lot of cash and hope the fill nipple could be replaced with minimal effort. Not intending to mess with him, we know it's broken.

So ultimately, all we need to know is how to sort the fill nipple, rather than buying and selling advice. Thanks all the same. :)

He's not buying it mate, I'm giving it him. ;) So no problems.

Ahh cool, sorry it was just me that interpreted first post differently.

Changing fill nipple is a 2 min job, make sure you empty you tank first:)

When you say damaged, in what way, or is it just a leaking fill nipple ?

Take a look at this link.

Although the vid is showing you how to take the filter out of a CP fill nipple, it gives you an idea.

Also depends what Reg or fill nipple you have.

If you have a pure energy nipple, once you unscrew it off the reg, you will find a small piece cylinder shaped metal inside the back of the fill nipple which will have an o'ring attatched to it. This is call the check strut.

Once you take off any fill nipple, make sure threads are clean and in good condition (both inside reg and new nipple you are about to screw on).

Once you applied locktite ,screw in nipple, leave over night to dry with fill nipple facing down. just a precaution incase you apply too much loctite, not letting any excess run towards and inside of reg and bottle.
