Fill nipple leaking air slowly

My air bottle slowly empties itself. After closer inspection air is leaking from my fill nipple. Its coming from the thread and glue area, not out of the fill nipple hole. Can I empty my bottle, take it off and fit it again with new glue/cement (what cement should i use). Or do i need to buy a new reg.

Empty the bottle.
Remove the fill nipple.
Remove all previous tape/locktite debris from the fill nipple and hole.
Wrap some PTFE tape around the fill nipple thread (only on the thread, don't let it overlap the tip)
Screw it back in.
Job done.

There should be no problem in removing the nipple, cleaning out the threads on the reg and the bottle and refittting.

They have probably used loctite or liquid ptfe to fit it so you could use the same. I have always used Ptfe tape on mine and have had no problems.

As with any threaded component, make sure you dont over tighten it. Be sure to blow any debris out of the bottle before you re-fit the reg aswell.
