it gives a chance for reeeeeally reeeeally clever people to debate topics which have already been done to death, in a succinct and controlled manner without the personal insults (well, yet) or distractions that other threads have had

we're basically summing up a 25 page thread in hopefully about 2 or 3 pages, for your delectation

Rosie, i've just read most of the ramping fight club that Chicago and yourself contributed too. And it has more input than a 25 page thread, but far less content. It's a "fight club" for gods sake...............go for it.

Now now, the idea is to bore your opponent to death until he/she submits to the ramblings.

Personally I think both sides should get extra points for referencing their examples, and using the Harvard system correctly.

Maybe a word limit should be imposed too, now that would be craaaaaaaaaaaazy fun!

I'm sure it's more interesting than it looks. I just find it hard to get into when i'm used of books with pictures, big writing, and the harder words printed phonetically.

Fight Club is only what y'all make of it, yo. If there aren't satisfactory topics or contestants to debate them it's on you kids. And last time I checked the list of available mod powers forcing anyone to read a thread wasn't among them.

I swear to god I didn't intend that first post to be so long. I just kinda got on a rant and when I submitted it and scrolled down... and down... and down... realized I may have put Rosie to sleep.
