Fair question Nick, I understand that it several opinions on field design.
Several of the fields this year has been impossible to "sone off" some field key bunkers can be taken without the other team knowing.....hence jack in the box.
If you compare ex. the Tomahawk field to the Dye field in Madrid, both fields had key bunkers that could eliminate the other team. On the Dye field there was one solution, go and get the bunker before the other team, there were no way you could sone off and keep the other team out. The Tomahawk field had the same devastating bunker (even better bunker), the Zipper, to get in the zipper you had to fight the other team for dominance to get a player in there. If the other team got in you could keep the damage down and if you played like a team, communicated and pushed the other side.......
The point I am making is that there should be some parameter for building fields. There is some much "luck" involved in PB that we don't need more uncertainties and I think a lot of the fields this year made winning and loosing a game of chance.
I don't have the answer how it shoud be done but I think something should be done before next year, even if we don't know which format we are playing......
Just my opinion on the matter.
