Some feednecks have a rotating collar at teh top, if you look inside, there should be splits in teh actual feed neck part. If you take the colar off, as described, you will be left with teh feed neck with maybe 8 slots in teh top, that compress to clamp teh hopper in...put something (kitchen knife) through two slots opposite each other, and gently turn, it should come loose...or...clamp something in there and turn that...dont use an eggy, coz it will break!

Best way ive found, put your hopper in as tight as you can and turn it anti-clockwise. Or dont take it off, use a q-tip or even better, I use an allen key and put some tissue over the end of it to get in the tight spaces ;)

wait!!!
ive just encountered a problem. but instead of doing a new thread id just thought id post it here.

right i stripped my ion down after playing sunday for the first time ever. did it without the manual as someone has still to send me off these boards when i brought the gun off them at campaign cup:rolleyes:

right after putting it back together it was fine untill the gun wouldnt fire properly.
you know when you got a flat battery and you get a quick shhh of air but the gun doesnt fire properly, well i was getting that unregularly when i was firing strings. i replaced the battery with the one closest to me and it was fine....but the gun seemed to switch off all by itself when i pressed the on/off buttom to change into/out of eyes.

im not sure if this is a problem with a gun or what but i dont got any air left to check.

so does it sound like the battery? maybe a pinched wire?

any other possibilities??

cheers again guys, sorry bout the long post.
just trying to get as much detail in as possible.

cheers

errr... the same button that switches the eyes also switches the gun on/off. Maybe you just held the button down a fraction longer than you intended and switched it off?

If you can still switch it on/off and cycle it between eye modes then all is OK, and you don't need air to check that.

And yes, they do get stroppy when the battery is running low, so you were right to swap that out.

Sounds like having the manual would be really helpful to you. So maybe you should dowload the PDF version from here
;)
