Just had a custom cocker built and the vertical feed neck is a little loose for my Revvie. What is the best way to shim this and tighten that up so it doesn't fly off at some critical moment? That is, until I buy a HALO.
Just wrap the Revvy feedneck with insulating tape (electric tape) bits of cardboard etc will fall out...or buy an adjustable feedneck collar and then it will fit Revvys and a Halo
Buy a Dye Hopper insert, there only about £4, thats what I had to do with my STO, increases the feedneck size of the hopper by only 1mm or so, but locks the thing completely in place.
Thanks for the replies. I tried the electrical tape and it has a tendency to ride up and bunch around the top. It gets the job done but is ugly. Will try the others. I've been playing off and on for 11 years, but have only recently gotten involved in tournaments. Now I am playing a lot more.
Custom Products (CP) makes the one that I use. Simple, effective, and rather sexy. Be careful not to cut yourself, though, when you take your hopper off! The edges get a little sharp.
Oh, and might I mention, the Evo 2's feedneck is oversized, so no slippage is likely. My Cocker's feedneck is gargantuan, and it fits just about right.
A good way to overcome the feed neck size is to scrape a little bit of epoxy resin around the feedneck of the hopper, allow to dry & sand down to correct fit for the marker feedneck size.hard wearing & long lasting.
