my friend has just bought a sand - necked halo for his cocker (it has no clamping. The inside plastic has been cut roughly 1/2 a centimeter from the bottom of the neck.

When i put it in, there is about 1/2 a centimeter gap left to the proper top of the feedneck, where it's pretty thick.

Should i cut the thin bottom off so it sits lower and also should fit, or look at other options (taping / painting etc)?

I even saw soldering on pbnation, where the guy soldered a small trench all the way round the neck, and small banks formed either side, but im a little scared of this...

any help muchos gratefully recieved..

the blue internal part of the halo feedneck, it extends into the halo and is the I___________I shaped part that catches he balls in the halo..

i recommend new shells or electrical tape....
