Just doing a little bit of market research :)
If as many of you as possible could take a minute or 2 to answer a few questions for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Im just trying to see what the general opinion is.

What do you think makes a good trigger?
What shape of trigger do you feel is best for you? (easier to shoot at a higher constant rate etc)
Is there a prefered material for the trigger to be made of?
Do roller bearings make a big difference, are they worth paying that bit extra?
How much would you be happy to pay for a custom trigger?

Any other comments just throw them in.
Thanking you :)

im not sure if there is one thing in particular that makes a trigger good, its down to personal opinion really but anyway heres mine.

shape- has to be a flat blade for me, cant stand any of thoses crazy lumpy thangs
material - something light, but more importantly something strong which wont snap when it all goes wrong trying to superman it into the snake
roller bearings- i cant really say on this point as ive not used all that many triggers without them
price tag - probly about £18 - £25 but if its a sweet ass mofo then id pay a bit more.

hope it helps. ben

Staying warm on a sunday!
id like a really responsive trigger
i.e for snap shooting so nice n fat with groved finger positions

and a nice n light trigger for walking which would be flat ish with raised bumps at the walking positions

thats my input

What do you think makes a good trigger?

Shape, length, feel, and position (within the frame)

What shape of trigger do you feel is best for you? (easier to shoot at a higher constant rate etc)

I like 'em flat, or close to it. For example, the old cobra stick triggers for the IR3 and LCD angels, spot on. I've got a Joy trigger on order right now for my Force 4, something along those lines.

Is there a prefered material for the trigger to be made of?

Every trigger I've ever used has been (presumably) anodized aluminum, and they've all been fine with me. You could attract a lot of the "Agg" kidz by making a "derlin, derlon, delron" AKA, Delrin trigger.

Do roller bearings make a big difference, are they worth paying that bit extra?

I haven't used a trigger with roller bearings, so I don't know what I'm missing, but every trigger I've used up to this point that hasn't had them has been about as smooth as you could want.

How much would you be happy to pay for a custom trigger?

I wouldn't want to pay a whole lot more than $30-$35 (US). If it had some special features (like roller bearings, special material, whatever) then you might get me to part with an extra $5. That seems perfectly reasonable for a chunk of sculpted metal smaller than my pinky.
