Far to heavy!!!

As a thew of you know i have not long brought a smartparts vibe which came with a hopper and a 3000psi air tank, after using it abit i am finding the marker very unbalanced due to how heavy the air tank is.

Is there any very light/lighter air tanks out there?

any info would be great cheers

is it a steel bottle? I would guess it is which means get a fibre wrapped one, much lighter, higher pressure and bigger volume... or you could go for a smaller fibre wrapped.. either is better than a steel bottle....

Is it a steely tank or a fibrewrap? the fibrewraps are lighter, but you can also get a DXS tank which is even lighter

i got a couple of tanks... both with regs and have a fill of about 4000psi, I weighed them the other day just out of curiousity and they are both around the 1.3kg - 1.4kg mark.

edit: they are both 1.1l fibre wrapped tanks

Fibrewraps are much lighter than steely bottles, they generally weigh above 1kg, stakos and DXS tanks weigh 1kg or less generally (I think)

A stako bottle (1.1) weighs 750 grams or 3/4kg, depending what reg you get its generally around 1kg for the full setup. It does make a difference to the feel. Oh, how I loved my stako....

crossfire have quite light tanks dont they? 1.1l ~ 0.85kg without reg?

Is there any cheapish light bottles about?
if so wot are there?

2nd hand expect to pay £50 - £70 for a bottle with a year or so test left. 2nd hand with more test (~3yrs) I would expect to be ~£80.

Brand new you're looking at around £100 - £140 depending on make and where you buy it from.
