Well guys just thought id try and do this once and for all. This will probably be all wrong but hopefull the answers are ok! Also if there is anything iv missed out, please speak out!

Well, I would totally reccomend the 'smart parts ion'. Theyr'e really light, cheap, fast etc. Basically all you can ask for in a Marker. You can get a really good package on http://www.justpaintball.com .
Playing kit and pads
I would say to first get your pads. Knee and Elbow pads are the ones that i think are the main pads to buy. As for playing gear, its up to you really how much to spend on your kit. Planet always has some really good gear.
Mask
Well as for your mask, it really depends if you prefer a hard plastic mask, or a soft bendy rubber style mask. V-force make the plastic masks, and JT make the really flimsy rubbery masks. In between those categories there are masks like Dye and others!
Finding a team
Your best bet on trying to find a local team is to get down to your local site and ask around. There will probably someone down there who plays for a team, and if your good enough, you never know you may get a trial.
