This is a question to the people at MAX, but since this is a BIG problem involving every non- German team, there`s no sense sending them a e-mail, but hopefully they could give us all the answer her at P8! (If you know the right person please send him this link (and don`t flame away by asking me to send them an e-mail, because this concerns most of the teams))

We all know we need the F-mark, so how do we get it, and will/can MAX help us getting it??

Last time we attended Max we nearly lost all the markers!
They wouldn`t let us fly back, and we had to leave persons back in Germany with the markers, and then we had to drive back to Germany (from Norway!) to pick it up!!!

Don`t want to do that again. The expences were pretty big!

If you are lucky they want open your bag at the airport, but if they do.....

F stamp

I have been looking for info on the internet about this today. Not much luck so far except what we already know.

"All markers must have an F-stamp annotated on it. This means it meets the German law standards. For those not familiar with the F-stamp, it is an “F” inside a pentagon shape on the actual marker. Use of markers without this stamp in Germany is illegal."

Found some chat about it on a forum here

We need to get some "official" info from the Millennium I think

Tis 'funny' though hearing some of the confiscation stories, considering when Twisted played Bitburg we were sat in the airport check-in queue with Rob dry firing his gun as he'd not emptied his bottle.

We drove last year and it wasnt a problem, but we also were not aware of the German law. Would it be the same if you didnt fly?

F Stamp, ...

Hi Guys,
just got hold of a working computer with internet connection now, sorry not to write back sooner.
Concerning the gun law in Germany a marker has to have a "F" mark on it to show that it is not a firearm. The "F" means that this "gun" is not a real one and available for everyone over 18 years of age free of permission. Teams from abroad should get into contact with the maxs stores in there countries if there is none, there will be a phonehotline for this particular issue starting end of next week. There you will get the help and solutions to attend this tournament without any problems.
